Native WordPress / WooCommerce Chargebee billing

Chargebee Integration is a WooCommerce extension written for WordPress. It adds a Chargebee payment gateway, a Chargebee Subscription product type, and Chargebee.js Elements on your checkout. Chargebee Product Catalog 2.0 is the billing engine; WooCommerce remains the storefront.

This is not a Zapier recipe, Make scenario, or hosted-form embed you paste into a page. Items, item prices, customers, and subscriptions are created from WooCommerce using Chargebee’s API. Card data is tokenized in the browser by Chargebee.js and never touches your WordPress server.

munjr.com uses this same plugin in production to sell both Recurly Integration and Chargebee Integration.

How it works

1. Connect your Chargebee site under WooCommerce → Settings → Chargebee (site subdomain, API key, publishable key) and click Verify Connection.
2. Create a product and set the type to Chargebee Subscription.
3. Configure term, price, billing period, and optional trial. On save, the plugin creates Catalog 2.0 item wc-{product_id} and item price wc-{product_id}-{CURRENCY}.
4. Shoppers check out on WooCommerce. Chargebee.js collects the card (or they complete Chargebee hosted checkout). WordPress creates the Chargebee customer and subscription.
5. Renewals, invoicing, and dunning run in Chargebee. Logged-in customers can cancel at period end, reactivate, or open the Chargebee customer portal from My Account → Manage Subscriptions.

Requirements

• WordPress 6.2+ and WooCommerce 8.0+
• PHP 8.1+
• Your own Chargebee site, API key, and publishable key

After checkout you will receive a Chargebee subscription ID from munjr.com. That ID is your license key. Enter it under Settings → Chargebee License on the WordPress site where you install the plugin (one site per subscription).
